Hi! I'm Jen Miller, an experienced Senior Graphic Designer and Creative Art Director.
Hi! I'm Jen Miller, an experienced Senior Graphic Designer and Creative Art Director.
From a young age, I was interested in both the sciences and the arts. Never satisfied with one or the other, I studied both Fine Arts and Health Sciences in College.
After deciding that my love of the arts was greater than my love for medicine, I moved to New York City to continue my education. I trained at the Fashion Institute of Technology (F.I.T.) and graduated at the top of my class in Communication Design and studied in the BS Program of Cosmetics and Fragrance Marketing.
Since graduating from F.I.T., I have spent the last 11 years of my career as a graphic designer, web designer, event designer, brand manager and creative art director (not all at once – even though it sometimes felt like it). In 2014, I opened my own graphic design "event detailing service," Kismet Event Detailing & Design.
While my love for event detailing carries on, I am looking for new projects and a new career path that will challenge me creatively, help me grow as a professional and stimulate my mind. It is said that a comfort zone is a beautiful place, but nothing ever grows there. I am ready to step out of my comfort zone and see what amazing things I can help nurture and grow.

RANDOM FACTS ABOUT ME:
•I am obsessed with sharks (an understatement!).
•I am a lifelong Trekkie and I Iove to debate the merits and pitfalls of Star Trek Voyageur with willing participates.
•I love to bake and will always find a random occasion to bring someone fatty desserts.
•As much as I love to bake, I HATE to cook.
•My husband is also a graphic designer so we spend a lot of time together discussing fonts and Pantone colors and basically boring everyone around us.
•When I was 6 years old I won first prize in an international Ben & Jerry's drawing contest that fueled my passion and desire to continue drawing and painting - turns out that all-you-can-eat ice cream for a year is a great artistic motivator!
•I actually try most of the Pinterest DIYs that I pin and I've never had a "Pinterest fail" to date!
•I named my daughter after a character in a video game, but we all pretend that she was named after my grandmother.
